Abstract

Coil design plays an important role in wireless power transfer (WPT). Conformally conical coils are presented in this paper for wireless charging electric vessels to meet the mechanical requirement of vessels. The conical coil is adopted on the receiver side to install on an electric vessel, while spiral coils are used as transmitter coils. Moreover, load-independent constant current (CC) and constant voltage (CV) are analyzed through circuit analysis to charge battery-based electric vessels.
