Abstract

Applications of computer simulation in the clothing industry are discussed. Simulation is a powerful tool for management. Although typically restricted at present to the production line, future applications are likely in merchandising, inventory control, logistics and retailing. Benefits include forecasting potential problems and experimenting with new ideas without costly mistakes.
