Abstract
The design of Halon 1301 total-flooding firefighting systems requires repetitive and very tedious hydraulic calculations. A computer programme BTM-Cal has been developed to perform the calculations in an effective and efficient manner. This is based on following the standard design procedures; the calculated results can be displayed graphically in the architectural layout of the building concerned. The programme can be run on an IBM-286 compatible personal computer, and an example of the design for a typical transformer room is illustrated. (A)
