Abstract
The present invention relates to a compound of formula 1,2 or 3, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts and solvates thereof, characterized in that X1,Y,R1,R2,R3,R4,and R5Are as defined herein. The compounds are antibacterial agents and are useful in the treatment of various bacterial and protozoal infections and diseases associated with such infections. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions containing said compounds, and to methods of treating bacterial and protozoal infections by administering compounds of formula 1,2 or 3.
