Abstract
Two-year radiosonde data from a station in Hong Kong (HK) is first used to calibrate eight commonly used tropospheric empirical models. The models are then evaluated with one additional year of radiosonde data from the same station and one-month GPS observations from six continuous GPS stations in HK. The possible factors that affect the performances of the models are analysed. The optimal model for the HK region is then recommended based on the study.
