Abstract

In this paper, we will describe the communication mechanism of a heterogeneous system developed for image processing application. The performance of the system is depended on the communication mechanism used. In our design, we have employed QuickRing. QuickRing provides a high data transfer rate, 160 Mbytes/s, and support two modes of data transmission, Directed mode and Multicast mode. We will investigate the performance of these communication modes and their use in heterogeneous system.
