Abstract

The purpose of this chapter is to provide a first overview of the currently available literature on prospective memory in clinical populations. Besides describing possible impairments and areas of spared performance, we also discuss initial evidence on the potential mechanisms underlying these findings. Finally, another aim of this chapter is to provide some suggestions for future research on the clinical neuropsychology of prospective memory.
