Abstract
The purpose of this study is to understand Chinese leisure travelers' preferences on airfare rate restrictions. Using conjoint analysis, advance purchase and price were identified as the most important attributes of Chinese travelers' overall preferences. Refundability and changeability were comparatively less important attributes. The identification of these values will help airline industry professionals gain a better understanding of Chinese leisure travelers' preferences when they design airline rate restrictions.
