Chinese and emotion analysis

Research output: Chapter in book / Conference proceedingChapter in an edited book (as author)Academic researchpeer-review

Abstract

Human emotion has been the subject of a great many studies in the past several decades, both within and outside of the linguistic field. Despite this, many unanswered questions remain as to how the connection between language and emotion is formed. The goal of this chapter is twofold: first, to give an overview of contemporary studies on emotion analysis and second, to cover specific issues and topics in Chinese linguistics within the field of language and emotion. The area of emotion analysis is believed to be a rich, untapped field filled with valuable insights and the potential to fulfil vastly differing research goals across a wide range of disciplines.
