Abstract

Electrodeposition method was used to synthesize rare earth transition metal (RE-TM) amorphous films. Nanocrystructured RE-TM were prepared by thermal treatment of as-synthesized films below the glass-crystal transition temperature. The results show that the magnetoelastic effect in nanostructured RE-TM film increases with an increase in grain size.
