Abstract

trans-[RuIV(tmc)O(MeCN)][PF6]2(tmc = 1,4,8,11-tetramethyl-1,4,8,11-tetra-azacyclotetradecane) has been obtained by the reaction of PPh3with trans-[RuVI(tmc)O2][PF6]2in MeCN; the Ru=O distance in this mono-oxo ruthenium(IV) (ruthenyl) species, as determined by X-ray crystallography, is 1.765(5) Å.
