Abstract

We propose several new detector schemes for non-coherent communication with a chaotic signal. To successfully decode the signal the detector needs to know only the chip timing and form of the dynamical system utilised by the encoder. We show that this method can be used to achieve bit error rates comparable to other non-coherent schemes. Moreover, our method also benefits from additional generality in the selection of chaotic systems.
