Abstract
The emergence of FinTech companies in recent years has led to more innovative solutions than those led by traditional financial services companies. As a result, the role of the CEOs in the FinTech industry has evolved to be quite different; in educational background, experience and leadership style.
This paper explores the key differences in the characteristics between the CEOs in the FinTech industry and the CEOs of traditional financial services industry, and explores which should be the most sought-after characteristics of FinTech CEOs by comparing the financial performance of their respective companies.
