Abstract
A real-time online optimal supervisory controller of a central chilled water system is developed and evaluated on the digital simulator. The controller can quickly forecast the optimal set points of different control variables with a genetic algorithm. The simulator shows that it can minimize the total energy consumed by the system in comparison with the fixed set points controller and the local supervisory controllers while still keeps the control stability.
