C-Band PAM-4 Transmission over 60-km SSMF Using Weight-Sharing Nonlinear Weighted DFEs

Abstract

Two weight-sharing nonlinear weighted DFEs are proposed for C-band 100-Gbit/s PAM-4 transmission over 60-km SSMF, one of which using absolute terms shows >26% complexity reduction compared with other nonlinear DFEs under 7% HD-FEC BER limit.
