Abstract

This paper presents the Mobile AGent-based Internet Commerce System (MAGICS) to support business-to-customer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) electronic commerce (e-commerce). For B2C MAGICS, to facilitate B2C transactions, we present an Extensible Markup Language (XML) scheme for inter-agent communications. For B2B MAGICS, we investigate a stock management problem based on the Markov decision or dynamic programming theory.
