Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming urban design by offering innovative ways to analyze and manage public services. This paper examines AI's role in urban planning, urban design and architecture, categorizing AI tools into paradigms and evaluating their interaction with urban parameters. It focuses on classifying AI tools by their capabilities and applications in urban study, systematically analysing their strengths and limitations. The study delves into predicting and evaluating behavioral patterns in urban settings, considering various methods, parameters, and scales. Ultimately, it seeks to define AI's contribution to urban design and its potential development pathways in this evolving field.
