Abstract

Murro test embankment on soft sensitive clays is analyzed with a recently proposed elastic-viscoplastic model ANICREEP. Model parameters for foundation soils are determined in a straightforward way based on conventional triaxial and oedometer tests. The comparisons between calculations and field measurements demonstrate that the new model coupled with consolidation theory can be satisfactorily and easily used for describing the long-term behavior of soft sensitive clays under embankment loading.
