Analysis of 2-D scattering problems using a novel nonuniform gridding FDTD method

A wavelet-based adaptive gridding algorithm for the finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method is proposed to reduce the required computational resource. The new algorithm is applied to analyze the scattering of a TM wave on a perfectly conducting rectangular cylinder.
