An enhanced DA-ML phase estimation algorithm for systems using advanced modulation formats

Abstract

We propose an enhanced DA-ML phase estimation method. Its performance is analyzed in both linear and nonlinear channel. Simulation results show that our method outperforms conventional DA method particularly in systems with advanced modulation formats.
