Abstract

The raw material for synthetic fibre comes from fossil fuel, a finite source that could run out in a hundred years or so. Thus, the textile and clothing industry is developing sustainable material for the fibre. This study investigates the natural resources to identify the technology and innovation to make eco-friendly fibres and the benefits and drawbacks of some types of sustainable fibre.
