Abstract
An all-optical polarisation stabilisation scheme using mutual injection-locked laser diodes (MILD) was proposed. The stabiliser was based on an injection-locked Fabry-Perot laser diode (FP-LD), a double-channel planar-buried heterostructure (DC-PBH) with a TE poalrised emission and a threshold current of 11 mA was used for the output. The scheme was used to align the randomly varying state-of-polarisation (SOP) of a 3GHz pulse train with MILD with a pulse width of 5 ps without rotation and speed-limited feedback control.
