Abstract

The more electric vessel is a concept for all future vessels. The emission in harbour, lake, river, and ocean is high. In most cities with rivers or sea, the vessel emission accounts for 1/3 of the total transportation emission in a city. Therefore besides the electric car, the promotion of electric vessels is equally important. The paper is to report an electric vessel project. The proposed work is to use an electric motor that is powered by a battery system to replace the diesel engine. The present work focuses on a jet boat that is not using a propeller and it is found that it is most suitable for near coast operation that has better safety factor than a propeller.
