Abstract
The authors explain why they believe that the limitations of e-mail are currently a hindrance to the routine use of e-commerce in apparel supply chains. The problems however are not insurmountable: colour can be instrumentally measured and digitised using spectrophotometers, and Internet-based colour physics software is now available. The solution on offer from eWarna is discussed.
