Abstract

An adaptive passivity based control scheme is proposed for the stabilization of average model of extended-period quasi-resonant (EPQRC) power converter. The output load of the converter is assumed constant but unknown. A generalized state space average model of a buck-type series-mode extended-period quasi-resonant converter (SM-EPQRC) is derived. The adaptive controller is designed based on the derived model and the passivity - based control (PBC) technique. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the features of the proposed controller.
