Abstract
The possible heat release rates of fires resulting from burning combustibles in a karaoke box were studied. Combustibles concerned are furniture foam, partitions, surface lining materials, and carpets. Results appearing in the literature are surveyed for assessing the fire hazard in karaokes. How the heat release rate curves can be combined was demonstrated.
