Abstract

The concept of interactivity began with the expressive form of arts. Interaction design has gained its increased importance in research and development. Today, "interactivity" has become a household word in various design disciplines, and more so, an interface between human-machine communications. In the course of the rapid development of interactivity, emphasis has been shifted from the initial human-product interaction to have included communication among humans via technology in due recognition for its effects on the ways we communicate and act upon interactivity. Through a selection of cases of interaction design in different design disciplines, this paper reports the study of the communication system of interactivity in art and design.
