Abstract

The problem of QoS-based multicast routing algorithm is discussed by considering the requirements of two QoS parameters, i.e. end-to-end delay and error rate and network resources in multimedia group communication. Inspired by the successful application of optimization computing methods- simulated annealing algorithm in other combinational optimization problems, an algorithm is proposed, which constructs a QoS-based multicast routing tree based on improved simulated annealing algorithm. By simulation research some application parameters of the algorithm are given, meanwhile the feasibility, effectiveness and robustness of the algorithm are also proved.
