Abstract
This paper presents a simple procedure for calculating the thermal response factors and conduction transfer functions (CTFs) of a multilayer wall on the basis of the polynomial s-transfer functions, which are estimated by frequency-domain regression (FDR) method from the theoretical frequency characteristics of transient heat conduction through the wall. Computation examples demonstrate that the FDR method is accurate, simple and efficient in calculating the thermal response factors and CTFs of walls.
