A Simple and Precise IQ Skew Calibration Method by Spectrum Analysis for Coherent Transmitters

Abstract

We propose a simple one-shot transmitter IQ skew calibration method by just using optical spectrum analyzer without introducing extra complexity. A skew error less than O.5ps is demonstrated for DP 80 GBaud 16QAM system.
