Abstract
The thermodynamic variables are expressed in terms of the elementary excitation spectrum obtained from the combined correlation-basis-function and canonical transformation method. A scaling factor accounting for the quasi-particle interaction is logically introduced. By adjusting its value we obtain good results to the thermo-dynamic variables for superfluid helium 4.
