Abstract

A high frequency magnetostrictive composite-fiber Bragg grating (MC-FBG) sensor using novel epoxy-bonded Terfenol-D particulate magnetostrictive composite is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. The MC-FBG sensor exhibits a high frequency response up to at least 60 kHz.
