Abstract

The X-ray structure of [Ru(Me3tacn)O2(CF 3CO2)]+ shows a cis-dioxoruthenium(VI) unit with the Ru=O distances and O-Ru-O angle being 1.717(9) and 1.715(9) Å and 118.3(4)°respectively, this RuVI complex catalyses alkene epoxidation and alkane hydroxylation by PhIO and ButOOH.
