Abstract
In this paper, a three-terminal VSC-MTDC system, containing one constant voltage terminal and two constant power terminals which have different parameters, is built in the PSCAD. With the vector and power synchronization control under consideration, there will be eight combined control strategies for this MTDC system. And then these combined control strategies are tested and compared under the AC fault and N-1 fault in an AC/DC system. The best combined control strategy, which can improve the stability of the whole system, is proved to be that the one when the constant voltage terminal uses vector control, one of the constant power terminals uses vector control and the other one uses power synchronization control. At the end of this paper, a synchronization switching control strategy, which will be researched in the future, is introduce to make the scheme more flexible.
