Abstract

A new grazing flow incidence tube is designed, built, and tested in Aerodynamics and Acoustics & Noise Control Technology Centre (aantc.ust.hk). The function of the facility is to develop and test acoustic performance of liners or meta-acoustic surfaces under grazing flow condition. The facility consists of a settling chamber, a flow development section, an anechoic termination section, and a test section equipped with a variety of flow and acoustic sensors. The facility has a square test section with a cross-sectional dimension of 50 mm by 50 mm. The test section flow speed is up to Mach 0.3. In this paper, we give an overview, and present flow and acoustic properties of the facility. © INTER-NOISE 2021 .All right reserved.
