Abstract

The title compound, C15H8ClFO2, is a chemically synthesized isocoumarin. The isocoumarin and benzene ring systems are approximately perpendicular to each other. The crystal packing is stabilized by C - H⋯O and C - H⋯F interactions to form one-dimensional chains parallel to the b axis.
