Abstract
A textual study of the chapter on the late Ming Confucian scholar-official Tang Boyuan (1541-1598) in Huang Zongxi's (1610-1695) sourcebook of Ming Confucianism, the Mingru xuean. It found the numerous textual variations and corruptions in all major versions of the book published from late 17th to late 20th centuries, and explained the reasons of such errors and blunders.
