Abstract
To ensure the fire safety in high-rise buildings,it is crucial to evaluate the fire performance of facade insulation materials under standard facade fire tests. This paper first makes a comparison among five standards for fire tests, namely, GB/T 29416—2012,BS 8414—2002,ISO 13785-2,NFPA 285—2019 and JIS A 1310—2015,and attaches much importance to the characteristics of compartment fire and spilled flame to reveal fire intensity. The study is helpful in revealing different fire performance of the same facade insulation material under different experiment conditions and evaluation criteria. These findings provide a reference for the facade fire analysis and standard tests and eventually lay a foundation for the unified facade fire standard tests in the world.
