    Abstract

    Xiong He (1247-1312) from Fujian province was a leading Confucian scholars of the neo-Confucian school of Zhu Xi (1130-1200) in late Song early Yuan times. The article discusses Xiong's scholarly thought and achievements as a champion of Zhu Xi's thought and learning, and explains the posthumous difficulties of Xiong's getting the highest recognition of a Confucian master from the Ming court.
