Project title of the award - "Happy Parenting Program" - The First Local Evidence-based Parenting Program for Parents of Preschoolers with Developmental Disabilities"
The Asian Award for Advancing Family Well-Being (3A) Project was first launched in 2010 and repeated in 2012 and 2014. Since inception, the 3A Project has received full support from the Wofoo Social Enterprises (WSE). The project was renamed as "Wofoo 3A Project" since 2014 to acknowledge its continuous support and title sponsorship.
The aim of the 3A Project is to provide a platform to encourage sharing of valuable experience and practice wisdom while giving recognition to outstanding and pioneering work. It encourages the transfer of innovation and knowledge among professionals in different countries, ultimately contributing to the sustainable development of family well-being and strengthening of family functioning in the whole of Asia.
Prof. Cynthia Leung and her team (Heep Hong Society) have received the Gold Award and got subsidy to attend the 5th CIFA Regional Symposium held at the National Museum of Korea in Seoul, Korea. At the Symposium, Prof. Leung and her team have presented the project entitled "Happy Parenting Program" - The First Local Evidence-based Parenting Program for Parents of Preschoolers with Developmental Disabilities.
