Virtual Hospital simulates busy and complex multiple-bed hospital setting for students to practise multitask skills and learn how to prioritise the needs of multiple patients effectively. Testing students with scenarios full of disruptions, distractions, unexpected incidents, and clinical pitfalls that may occur in a real clinical environment, Virtual Hospital helps students develop abilities to manage unexpected patients’ interruptions and demands by applying clinical reasoning skills, thus, prepare students’ readiness for the complexities of clinical practice. Compared with other traditional high-fidelity simulation methods, Virtual Hospital requires less manpower and less space to lead a multiple-bed simulation.
