Biography

Dr. Huang Yunke is currently a Research Assistent Professor in the Department of Building Environment and Energy Engineering at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She earned her Ph.D. in 2021 from Northwestern Polytechnical University supervised by Prof. Hong Hou. During her doctoral studies, she was also a Joint Ph.D. student at the Peridynamics Research Centre, University of Strathclyde, UK (2017-2019) supervised by Chair Prof. Selda Oterkus. 
Dr. Huang’s research interests include structural health monitoring for fire safety, thermal mechanics, computational mechanics, acoustics, and multi-robot systems. She has authored over 10 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals such as Continuum Mechanics and Thermodynamics, IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters, and The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America. She has served as a reviewer for several journals including Computer Methods in Applied Mechanics and Engineering, Thin-Walled Structures and IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters.
