Formation, aggregation, deposition, and transformation of natural and engineered nanoscale particles (carbon nanomaterials, DNA nanomaterials, plastics, etc.) in aquatic environments.

(2) Advanced water treatment technologies

Development of membrane separation and catalysis technologies to remove critical aquatic contaminants for safe drinking water and wastewater reuse.
