Biography

Dr. LUO Wei received his Ph.D. degree from Nanjing University, China. Prior to joining PolyU, he conducted postdoctral research in Center for Photonic Innovations at the University of Electro-Communications, Japan, and Quantum Science and Engineering Centre at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Dr. Luo has over a decade of experience in integrated photonics, quantum photonics, fiber optics, and optical sensing. He has authored or co-authored more than 25 peer-reviewed papers in prestigious journals, including Light: Science & ApplicationsPhysical Review Letters, and Laser & Photonics Reviews. Among his notable achievements is the early, successful demonstration of a fully chip-based, measurement-device-independent QKD system. His current research focuses on integrated photonics and quantum communications, encompassing the design, simulation, and experimental implementation of photonic integrated quantum systems.
