My research interests include English as a lingua franca (ELF), ELF-informed instruction / teaching English as an international language (TEIL), L2 English pragmatics instruction, the role of language attitudes in language teaching and learning, and corpus pragmatics. I have over 15 years of teaching experience in the U.S., Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Malaysia, including applied linguistics, TESOL teacher training, academic writing, and English language.
