Biography

Kee-hung Lai (Mike Lai) is Chair Professor of Shipping and Logistics and Director of the Shipping Research Centre at the PolyU Business School. He is also Editor-in-Chief of the International Journal of Shipping and Transport Logistics and the Journal of Shipping and Trade. Prof. Lai is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport. He has authored Concise Introduction to Logistics Management in 2026 (ISBN: 978-1-0353-8540-9), co-authored 7 books, and published 290+ journal papers (89.8% in Q1 journals on Scival), including 8 papers in the Financial Times Top 50 journals. He was selected by Clarivate Analytics as a highly cited scholar, with over 43,200 citations, and has an h-index of 100 on Google Scholar.
