Biography
Dr SHI Jingyu is currently a Research Assistant Professor (RAP) in the Department of Biomedical Engineering (BME) at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). She received her B.Eng degree in Polymer Materials and Engineering from Sichuan University (SCU) in 2012. She received her M.Phil. and Ph.D. degrees in Biomedical Engineering from The Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2015 and 2018, respectively. From 2021 to 2023, she served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University under the RGC Postdoctoral Fellowship Scheme (PDFS) 2022/23. Dr Shi's research focuses on developing novel nanomaterial-based nanoprobes and advanced biosensing technologies to achieve highly sensitive and specific detection of biomarkers in complex samples and cells. She is also working on the development of theranostic nanobiocomposites that enable bioimaging-guided precision therapy. In her current research, she is interested in exploring the potential of combinations of nanomaterials and exosomes in immunotherapy. She has published more than 25 papers (including 2 ESI highly cited papers) in SCI journals, such as ACS Nano, Biosensors & Bioelectronics, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Sensors and Actuators B-Chemical, Journal of Materials Chemistry B, Droplet, Biomicrofluidics, etc.
