Iris Lo is Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Social Sciences, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She received her PhD in Sociology from the University of Oxford. Her work spans significant topics in the fields of sociology, social policy, and health. She studies the extent and nature of changes to family and work lives and sociological questions around social inequality, with a focus on gender, sexuality, reproduction, and work-family reconciliation. Her research also examines the role of social policy and culture in influencing people’s life choices and well-being.
In 2015, UN member states agreed to 17 global Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. This person’s work contributes towards the following SDG(s):
