Dr Hui Zhang received the Ph.D. degree at Quantum Science & Engineering Centre, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. Prior to that, she received the B.Eng. degree in the Elite class named after Hsue-Shen Tsien from Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. Her research interests include photonic integrated circuits for neural networks, quantum machine learning, and AI in science. In recent years, she has developed the complex-valued photonic neural network architecture, a gradient-free on-chip training method for photonic neural networks, and the quantum autoencoder facilitated teleportation protocol with few-shot learning mechanisms. Her works are published in top-tier journals like Science Advances, Nature Communications, Laser & Photonics Reviews, etc.
