Hangsoo Kyung is an Assistant Professor at the School of Accounting and Finance at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his Ph.D. in Accounting and Master of Accountancy from City University of New York - Baruch College, following an and a B.B.A. in Business Administration from Dongguk University in South Korea. His research explores the intersection of financial reporting, corporate governance, labor economics, and information dissemination, with a particular focus on insider trading, non-GAAP reporting, ESG-linked compensation, and employee turnover.
Dr. Kyung has published in academic journals, including the Journal of Accounting and Economics, The Accounting Review, Contemporary Accounting Research, Review of Accounting Studies, and the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, among others. His work contributes to our understanding of how organizational structure, managerial incentives, and evolving workplace arrangements affect financial market outcomes.
